New Player Guide

Everything you need to get started with Frosty Fight Club.

/ Getting Started

Follow these five steps and you'll be up and running in no time.

1

Join Our Discord

Discord is our community hub. All event coordination, matchmaking, and communication happens there. Introduce yourself and check out the channels! Join the Discord server.

2

Set Up Your Platforms

Your top priority is Fightcade 2 — it’s free, has rollback netcode, and is our primary platform for matchmaking and tournaments. Next, get set up on Arkadyzja, our online arcade platform for retro gaming. Beyond those two, we also use Parsec for local multiplayer over the internet, Dolphin for GameCube/Wii netplay, and RMG-K for additional retro titles.

3

Find Tournaments

Check out our events calendar to see what’s coming up. Registration is handled through Start.gg and Challonge — links are always posted in Discord before each event. Every single event is free to enter.

4

Know the Schedule

We operate in Pacific Time (PT). Default tournament start time is Noon PT. Doubleheader weekends kick off at 4 PM PT. Special events may start at 10 AM or Noon PT. We run 8 monthly events every weekend plus Friday Night Friendlies weekly.

5

Jump Into Friday Night Friendlies

Every Friday, the community gathers for casual matchmaking. It’s the best way to meet other players, try new games, and get comfortable. Streamed live on Twitch and YouTube. No pressure, no brackets — just good games. All skill levels are welcome.

/ Tips & Etiquette

A few things to keep in mind as you settle in.

Be welcoming and patient with everyone you play.

Ask questions — everyone starts somewhere.

Have fun. It's not just about winning.

Respect all players regardless of skill level.
